This is an Old School G1B$*n L-5 - Super 400 Replica amazingly accurate fit & finish your going to see... These are among the best of the best made in the mid 70's ( PRE SERIAL NUMBER PROTOTYPE ) These are very High Quality vintage Japanese Replicas frankly none better and are now beautifully well aged with that natural Patina only a true vintage guitar can have. As you may already know Aria of Japan was the company contracted to remake the Great very high end De Angelico New Yorkers etc Guitars and those examples were known to be the best of the best since the Originals then De Angelico's changed manufacturers to cut costs are made elsewhere ( China and Korea and others now they no longer are of such high quality at all...with cheep woods - scarf joints and fat -thick tone deadening Polyurethane finish and not set up well on top of that in other words inferior build quality. These old school Japan built models are actually neck & neck with the American real deal. today's finest players and tomorrows future vintage collectible very popular today but gaining as people see and hear about these and the word gets out, sure to appreciate over time. We love these Aria's for good reason they are the best of the best. Here at JVGuitars we have several of these vintage Aria's Super AAA quality examples. Please see our others fine Ibanez & Greco High end examples they easily rival the $6500-$12,000 G!b$@n'$ and other hand built examples. This guitar is an Aria Pro II archtop guitar, PE-180 model and was made in the mid 1970's Crafted in Japan, its a "Prototype" Law suit model and has no serial number, The TOP END Japanese Aria guitars from this era were well known for their very accurate following of the details sticking to the original American Classic design and they used the best woods available and very talented Luthiers to produce some vintage works of art like this example. This example has a high grade spruce top Sitka, featuring a nicely figured birdseye maple back and sides, very nice triple bindings all around with Fret Edge Binding detail the body as well as the neck, A Great vintage correct sunburst finish WoW! The two PAF style accurate sounding replica humbucking pickups are amazingly accurate to old Gison Paf tone, naturally aged gold hardware, with a correct multi bound high end Archtop tortoise pickguard. The fingerboard is also high end ebony wood, and the inlays on the fingerboard are amazingly accurate and done well and just like the G!b$@n Super 400. The body on ths fine example is in amazing condition for a 37 year vintage guitar. It has been adult owned and well cared for and always kept in the case. The sound is as one would expect from a vintage G!b$@n dynamic warm and rich clearity. No need`to change these pickups out they are real nice PAF sounding, the neck pickup has the classic full bodied warm jazz tone; the bridge pickup has a strong barking rockabilly tone and the combination of the two offers many tone range options at your fingertips. This guitar has been professionally set upo and action is on the money EZ to play with Flat wound strings for excellent smoth Jazz tone.
