IN STOCK AND AVAILABLE- Here we are proud to present this Law suit prototype... Top quality easily comparable to the Gibson L-5 from the late 50's early 60's and better than Gibson's from the 70's.... This baby is Super RARE folks, its in near MINT condition These are Super V the absolute top of Matsumoku's product line. Have you ever held one of these baby's in person? It is astounding just how perfectly this example was constructed. I'll bet the top brass at Gibby were deflated when they compared one of these high end models. Solid body guitars are one thing, but large-bodied archtops are quite another matter. These are extremely complicated and difficult pieces to replicate...and Matsumoku did a masterful job.
Please do *not* confuse this with a low-end copy. There is very little difference between this and the expensive late 50's original.
This was originally designed to sell for 300,000 Japanese Yen in 1977, so it was quite an expensive instrument, even at that time. Made in Japan and hand built to exacting standards of quality and workmanship. Features premium bird's eye maple back and sides, spruce top, ebony fretboard, MOP split parallelogram fretboard inlay, super nicely detailed fret edge binding, multi-ply pickguard binding, multi-ply fretboard binding, correct elongated headstock and (factory) stinger on the back of the headstock. Rounded Super 400 Venetian cutaway and the classic L5 tailpiece WoW!!!
ALL ORIGINAL. with the exception of what its previous owner has added a very convincing real headstock overlay of mother of pearl... This is not a Gibson guitar but is a Japanese Replica of one that has undergone a "headstock conversion " No cracks, No breaks, No repairs, NO ISSUES!
Includes the original hardshell case in excellent condition with classic marigold interior (virtually impossible to find).
Some normal gold fading wear and the occasional slight handling mark here and there, but incredibly clean for a 33 year old adult owned one owner vintage guitar. Equipped with an outstanding set of PAF replica Humbucking pickups; most likely Maxon. Absolutely no need to change these out.
Please take some time to view our pics carefully. This example was built by the most skilled and meticulous craftsmen at a time when Japan had access to all the best timber. The hands down consensus amongst those jaded by much more expensive archtops is that there is no better value in a vintage Jazz box available today.
Let me know if interested in this high end instrument.
Soeey SOLD OUT!: Here we are very proud to present another Absolutely Beautiful example of a Japanese Vintage guitar by Ibanez that is to also be considered a vintage work of art...This is one of the finer made examples of this guitar we have ever seen..... This is the Very Rare Vintage 1978 Ibanez Model 2453! Howard Roberts Fusion Law suit era high quality replica guitar that has in many ways exceeded the originals in our opinion.
" A true work of art!
OK... where it starts / Epiphone, owned by Gibson's parent company, they introduced the first Howard Roberts model in 1964 in limited numbers. An aclomplished jazz player, H. Roberts' had a great desire for better acoustics , this led to the unique central oval sound hole (instead of the usual double f-hole configuration) and the floating pickup (like Gibson's Johnny Smith model) mounted just above it. In the early 1970's Ibanez began their era of "Faithful High Quality Reproductions" where they copied classic American-made solid body electric Gibson, Fender, and Rickenbacker models. Shortly afterward came the acoustic and hollowbody model replicas were introduced, including Guild and Martin flattops, too. As Ibanez began to capture more market share the folks at Gibson took a very serious look into this, which led them to a lawsuit filed by Gibson against Ibanez in 1977 for obvious copyright infringement, specifically it boiled down to the "open book" headstock image. Therefore the only true "lawsuit" instruments are Gibson copies made by Ibanez and several others of course making guitars with that Gibson exact "open book " style headstock shape . By the time the lawsuit was resolved Ibanez had decided to and had actually already changed their headstock design to a Guild-style headstock profile. This guitar is a TRUE LAW SUIT guitar in that it is the one with THE CORRECT Gibson profile headstock the most sought after in the line.... This is the "2453 model".
Ibanez came out with Model 2453 HR around 1974, offering it in lesser grade burgundy and this example is the higher grade of Flame Maple thus the more translucent finish in the Cherry sunburst finish to show it off. This example features a AAAA Flame Maple body with a 22-fret three-piece figured maple neck. The neck is set, and is not bolt-on like many Ibanez guitars of this period. The top and peghead overlay is multi-bound and the back is single-bound. Other features include bound High Grade Rosewood fingerboard with slotted block MOP inlay, adjustable wooden bridge with inlaid base, gold hardware, single PAF type pickup, and a special control configuration (volume, mid-range, treble roll-off). A fancy tailpiece and ornate headstock inlay complete the look.
This HRF is in very good condition not new or mint of course its over 35 years old and a true vintage player and has a few minor paint nics or chips and have been lacquer touched up to peserve the original finish integrity. This is a very smooth Jazz player. It was of course handcrafted in Japan. The original celluloid tortoiseshell pickguard is still in very good condition ( so many desintegrate) and is on board this is unusual for many of these as I have seen many with already deteriorated guards ..not this one..., Overall the body and finish are in very good+ shape, just a few minor small blemishes here and there one doink on the back but nothing that will greatly detract from its beauty. The back of the neck is smooth and fast and the fingerboard and frets are nearly perfect, showing very minimal play wear.
Here we have just in and not quite pictured yet but what I can tell you now is it is in amazing condition, its all original, the woods are gorgeously figured maple on the front - back - sides & neck... really beautiful patina to the blond finish and is striking against the fingerboard & headstock intricate inlays & overlay .... the es347 is an upgraded high end es335 w/ split coil options & fancy inlay work on the headstock w/ block MOP inlays on the 3 piece maple neck...and all gold hardware ...is a striking sight to behold against the figured blond figured maple.. the gold hardware shows its vintage and looks so cool... Vintage Gibson at a reasonable price... keep an eye out pics coming soon!
Ask any questions this guitar is fanominal and has the great classic Gibson tone... WoW!

Just in.....Yet another Top of the line Japanese Vintage Guitar this one is also Early Pre Law Suit Ibanez L5 Jazz Box in rare form AAAA flamed blond beauty! This is an early Crafted in Japan made under the radar “prototype" this one is pre serial # model and this one was built to very high exacting detailed workmanship standards and AAAA Figured & flamed aged superior Tone-woods and a work of art fine finish work, This vintage example was built from the late 1950's- early 1960's Gibson Specifications some folks say this is built so good its even better than the vintage Gibson counterpart from the last 50's & 60's and actually is better than the later 70's Gibsons later improved again from about 78-81 and you have to get a Custom Shop guitar to come close to this example. This is a very early true Open Book Famous headstock this is THE ONE .... these types of examples is what caused the “Law Suits" that cost Ibanez and a few others quite a bit of trouble from the American Companies in the early 80's. This example is in SUPER NICE all round condition, for its age it's “about 37 years old " The body is Premium AAAA and again its pretty darn clean, the Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish has now beautifully ambered with natural aging, It has excellent original frets. This example has the highest quality German AAA Sitka spruce top , With a real sweet sound unplugged and very resonant excellent vintage tone woods used that have now mellowed nicely with over 37 years time passing. Its crafted using only highly AAA-AAAA flamed premium Maple sides-back & neck. The high quality original Gold hardware shows some fading. The two paf humbuckers sing & ring with great soulful and bluesy jazz tones and is quite versatile and easily comparable to that American "big named" L-5 guitar. This one came to us without a case and since we had purchased a very good used Gibson hard shell case it does the job well and is optionally available for $160 additional. With this vintage gem you will have no need to spend $7,500 -$16,000 on something comparable in the Gibson line… or a Japanese crafted DeAngelico those are made by Greco which is the very same Company making this L-5. Like fine wine this one has aged & mellowed quite nicely over the past 35+ years and is truly a very fine and rare example to bring joy to your playing and will easily last a lifetime and then some... This is the best of the best folks and you don't see these any cleaner than this often hats for sure. .

Its action is very good neck is straight and the frets do show some wear but not enough wear to make this guitar play anything other then very good - excellent again no issues and this baby as such a beautiful vintage vibe this is a pleasure cradt to play its takes me back to pre Beatles and when I was a 8 year old my teen aged neighbor had one of these he played threw and old supro amp and I would just listened to him play & wish that I could have a guitar like that and play guitar like that and sound so good... Body depth is 3 3/8" and the width is 17" and the scale length is 25 1/2"..
This guitar comes with what I believe is the very nice original hard-shell case.
Here we have yet another great find for your serious consideration from you seriously Jazz minded folks. This rare example is again a very high Quality Jazz guitar that is a Super detailed vintage Replica of the great Gibson L- 5 - Super 400 style... This guitar was built in 1979 and if you have noticed the similarities between this and our other vintage Aria Matsomoku factory crafted guitars you are not seeing things this Bradley is a Prime example Law-suit guitar that was made side by side with the same materials & the very same luthiers and was labeled Bradley during the Law Suit Era this is the very same guitar no differences other than Bradley in Mother of Pearl logo instead of Aria... other than that no differences what so ever...This example as a Beautiful aged Sitka Spruce top , Figured Maple neck & the back is figured & Birdseye Maple WoW!.. The finish was masterfully applied and accurately replicates the late 50's to mid+ 60's Burst .. Just a dead on Masterpiece. This is a really great Matsomoku's masterpiece Top Quality effort went into creating these top of the line exact Replica's. These originally were not for export and were for the high end Japanese buyers market and seldom seen here in the US until much later later... This example of the Super V Electric Hollow-body guitar in most excellent condition and is in perfect playing order no fret out or buzzing or dead spots. Super EZ action with excellent intonation. This great guitar was made in Japan. The body is the size of an L-5 and the neck is that of a Super 400. This guitar is extremely high quality with regards to workmanship & materials used in its construction. The frets are like brand new as though it has never been played and put under the bed for 33 years so you could have a nearly new vintage guitar WoW!. As far as the overall looks go THEY NAILED IT - It is EXACTLY like a 1969 Iced Ted Super 400. There are just a few marks superficial nicks (that may polish out I have not tried yet but I may) on the back Body depth is 3 3/8" and the width is 17" and the scale length is 25 1/2".. This guitar also comes with what I believe is the very nice original hard-shell case. .
Better pictures soon to come
Here we have yar another very early TRUE-Pre Law Suit PROTOTYPE REPLICA by the great Ibanez this is a GB George Benson type Prototype correct & detailed Replica L-5ces done right from head to toe just have a good look at the pics. This is a great Jazz Box in a rare High Quality verssion in rare form with beautifully deeply flamed blond maple beauty wow! This is another early one obviously TOP MASTER LUTHIER MADE and well hand crafted in Japan. This example is one of those survivors made under the radar of Gibson I'm told these were “prototype" guitars this one is a pre serial # model and I can hardly stress enough how these rare issues were known to be built to very high detailed standards and at this time frame they also used some very amazingly beautiful superior wfigured - byrdseye & flamed AAAA woods. Better than many us makers used at that time, This vintage example was built to Replicate the late 1950's- early 1960's Built to Gibson Specifications some folks say that the built quality of these early Ibanez guitar replicas are so good it likely exceed most or many of the Gibby's mid-70's -79 period examples by the Gibson counterpart. This is one of the great very early true Open Book Famous headstock this is THE ONE .... these types of guitars is what caused the “Law Suits" that cost Ibanez and a few others quite a bit of trouble from the American Companies in the early 80's. This example is in SUPER NICE all round condition, for its age it's “about 37+ years old " The body is Premium AAA and again its pretty darn clean, the Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish has now beautifully ambered with natural aging, It has excellent original frets. Top high grade I'm told is German AAA Sitka spruce , it has a nice clear sweet sound unplugged and very resonant ,very good tone , the aged tone woods used have paid off nicely. Clean yet mellowed nicely with over 37 years time passing well taken care of in California. Now nicely golden & ambered with age and natural Patina only time can create. Its crafted using only highly AAA flamed premium Maple sides-back & neck. The high quality original Gold hardware shows its age with some fading. The two paf humbuckers sing & ring with great soulful and bluesy jazz tones and is quite versatile and easily comparable to that American "big named" L-5 guitar. This one came to us without a case and since we had purchased a very good used Gibson hard shell case it does the job well and is optionally available from $160 additional. With this vintage gem you will have no need to spend $7,500 -$16,000 on something comparable in the Gibson line… or a Japanese crafted DeAngelico those are made by Greco which is the very same Company making this L-5. ( We also do have in stock a vintage Japanese Greco L-5ces type in Sunburst you may want to see ) Like fine wine this one has aged & mellowed quite nicely over the past 37+ years and is truly a very fine and rare example to bring it will bring joy to your Jazz play and or recording no matter what your style of playing is I'm sure taken care of properly this will easily last a lifetime and then some... This is one of the very best of the best.
THis is what I first saw the great smooth jazzman George Benson playing live back in the 70's at this show I got up real close to see his him & what he was dong first hand up super close & I was totally astonished by his cool smooth yet explosive style and then I noticed what he used to get that sound it was an Ibanez like this one this time and not the Gibson that I had been hearing him play on?... ya that show here in Northern California and early recordings thats what I was hearing..this is before Ibanez custom made the GB10 thet George himself completely designed.... but this one the one in these days when George came out guns blazing smooth style... needless to say this guitar should more than fit the bill for you.. its can do it all. note: these old Ibanez PAFs humbuckers are highly sought after now by players in the know... these are exact replicase of the old Gibson Paf design said to be just about as good as they get...this guitar sounds as good as it looks....
Pics not yet taken but will be soon enough

This example has some of the MOST Beautiful looking AAA Figured eastern Maple Tone Woods I have seen on one of these early 60's guitars in a long time so nice in fact I had to bring it here to JVGuitars WoW... just have a good look.... This one came with nearly all of it's original vintage parts intact and in very nice shape at that, including tuners, tailpiece, strap buttons, wiring harness...this baby was made from the very same woods used on what is now know to be the finest guitars in US history the late 50's - early 60's ... were also made from. This top & back look like something you would expect to see on an old 1959 Gibson Les Paul Burst highly figured - flamed with mineral streaks and all WoW!!!. This one has its neck properly refinished due to extreme wear but it had no damage or any cracks or structural repairs needed at all just a clean up cosmetic re-fin..to preserve its beauty and done in its correct original nitrocellulose lacquer thin skin finish. The Body was not bad but lovingly touched up minimalist approach so to preserve the integrity and stop any further finish degradation and as you can see she looks very natural as it look its 52 years of age with patina and vibe yet is amazingly well preserved example done with that in mind. The Pickups are Airline Diamond Single Coil Gold leaf Pickups and the Pickguard and covers are with vintage custom covers and plates. The guitar is not perfect its 52 years old and is a REAL VINTAGE guitar not a re-issue but it is as nicer example than most 52 year old Silvertone 1429 Deluxe Thinline guitars and its surely in the upper percentage condition wise for sure...and WoW!... it really Sings great and it Plays beautifully. The Neck is nice and straight and these are the original frets in very good - excellent condition too and its beautiful rich looking rosewood fret-board set-off with its gorgeous old school celluloid position markers that are also in excellent shape. The Play Action is GREAT!...nice & low and easy and these single coils gold leaf specials give this one a sweet vintage sound just like I remembered these sounding as a youth clear and articulate with plenty of variation in tone from the 3 individual Pickup and switch setting combinations and possibilities. This is a great one to own and its a genuine piece of the great USA guitar history. This example has been lovingly well preserved and fully ready to serve another 52 years. SOLD OUT SORRY: Here we have a real vintage Classic a real fine example of the classic 1963 Silvertone 1446L
Electric hollowbody - in Black finish- This guitar has undeniable STAGE PRESENTS. Distributed by Sears & Roebuck back in the day
Production year(s) : 1961-1967
This is THE model to own its the one that used the mini Paf Gibson mini Humbucking pickups and they never used these pickups on any other Harmony Silvertone or Airline guitar, so there is no Harmony equivalent of this very cool model if you haven't heard one like this live your going to be pleasently supprised to say the least. This is the one to own with some really great tone ... this example has that classic bell ring crisp tone these models are know for it also came with the classic Bigsby vibrato which is again VERY COOL. This model Silvertone was used by so many greats for recording & live performances back in the day Used by the likes of Hubert Sumlin (with Howlin Wolf) and more recently by the soulful Chris Isaac (his first album was named "Silvertone". Early 60's Sears catalogs from (61-62) show the guitar with different pickups (P13) and pickup's rings, but no samples are seen with others. Some samples are reported with different knobs and also a double cutaway verssion said to exist. About our example is a 1963 and it sounds absolutely incredible beautiful sounding strong toneful old school Gibson tone to my ears. It is pretty light weight so it will not wear you out playing this Black beauty for hours and you will want to play this one for hours because it plays effortless and is sounding so great ... I love it for vintage tone it can't be beat at this price range for a great USA Vintage guitar its over 50 year old with classic semi-hollowbody tone really come on its a no brainer this classic needs to be part of a guitarslingers arsonal.. This one is extra nice condition its old and it shows some light play wear not too much though it had been in its original case for many years in the closet of the elderly original owner...the neck is very slick & has a fast feel and is so EZ to play. This is a really good one....in top condition and ready to RECORD or TOUR tonight..

Original tuners do a good job of holding tune ... Just check out that greay body fit & finish its still looking pretty newish...wow this has been well taken care of. Adult owned and never abused. The gold hardware shows its age and looks like a 60's Vintage G!b$0n now ...wow!... The Finish looks like glass still! ...and its over 34 years old.. We have just done a few minor brush tip lacquer color matched touch ups when it came in to keep its original finish integrity and hold off further chips this guitar shows no checking or anything like that ( perhaps because its a California guitar ) it really looks more like its 2 years old and not 34 years old. This es345 by ElDegas is in top players form and is fully ready to tour or record with tonight! You gigging musicians can leave your $3000 Gibson's at home and can get the tone you need from this amazing player .....JVG condition rated excellent used vintage guitar 8.8/10

I feel it's pretty much impossible to obtain such a guitar of this grade quality produced today by a modern manufacturer at a competitive price....this would be over $ 2500 while Gibson List is well over $ 5k.... this represents a vintage bargain in todays $s.
An original catalog portrayal of the instrument can be found on this webpage:
This vintage instrument has its share of cosmetic age showing yet I find they simply add to the instrument's warmth and time adds real exceptional character. Just have a look to see that is true and undeniable.

Truss rod works properly. If this 1980 vintage guitar said "Gibson" on its head-stock it would be $3600+ and would not sound or play as well as this Beautiful Aria Pro from Matsumoku back in the hey day of Super High Quality lawsuit guitars.
Kept in wonderful vintage condition all these 33+ years just waiting for you to enjoy.
Here we have a wonderful example of what Japanese craftsmanship during the LAWSUIT era in the late 1970's were producing as they set out to build some of the finest guitars in the world at an affordable price period. This still holds true today they have stood the test of have a good look at this one. OK This is an obvious Replica in this of the Gibson signature model named for the great Barney Kessel Jazzman. **** THIS IS NOT A GIBSON GUITAR.**** This is one of the closest to the original Gibson BK specifications and is also made from some very beautiful grade AAA figured maple woods not often seen on this particular replica model from mostly Matsumoku camp this one being a bit unique in that it being from Greco would place this example back to the early Fugigen Gakki factory and is stunningly beautiful to this day some 37 years later the color is still vivid and shinny like glass
it has several clear coat checks on top and a couple here & there but non take away from this vintage beauty just as the original old Gibson would have checks this example looks vintage correct. Its Greco logo long ago replaced with a real mother of pearl Gibson inlay and professionally installed it shows no tell tail sign of being anything but original.. very cool lawsuit era Japanese Greco Jazz box... RARE FIND she is in deed. The PAF type Vintage pickups sound great and are the originals I'm told same as many Ibanez used and Greco's and a few other used there sounds like Super 70's which were made by Maxon back in the day... highly sought after now days too... this one is in super nice shape its neck is the very slim profile 3 piece with mahogany center construction just the same as old Gibson's BK model ( pre 1970 style = this one has NO VOLUTE just like the early pre 1970 Gibson versions, this example also has the famous Black " Stinger " on back of the headstock, with a Slim C profile width is 1-9/16ths" at the nut this has a very fast feel for EZ lightning fast jazz runs also the fingerboard appears to be rich Brazilian Jacaranda Rosewood as the inlays are also made of cellulose nitrate just like the old BK Gibsons please see the pics. The original bridge was upgraded to a very high quality Gibson an it is an inlayed in mother of pearl bridge detail as well , the tuners were also upgraded in the past with a nice set of Grover roto's in gold its was done some years ago along with the headstock inlay transformation. Taken in on a partial trade for a vintage Ibanez L-5 we had in we are very pleased at JVGuitars to present this beauty she has been out of circulation for over 37 years by the original adult owner and has been well cared for in its past.Of course this is not a new guitar not is it mint it does have genuine wear - patina of a real vintage guitar with a few minor chips that have occurred over time from use but never abused and shows overall very nicely and is in better than average for this age and model all & all an easy 8.65 /10 very good - excellent vintage rate. What you see is what you get this IS the guitar in the pictures that you will receive. This is the quintessential Barney Kessel lasuit guitar for your playing pleasure. .

These will be 100% old school Nitrocellulose lacquer finished like glass and both of these are amazing flame tops built here in our JVG custom shop to surpass that of one of my all time favorites the vintage Ibanez as200 from 1978 or so the John Schofield signature es335... we have owned many vintage and modern Gibson es335's & es347's which were my heavy influences for which we studied them well and I make this feel like a smooth vintage guitar with its eased fingerboard edges this will be part of the overall treatment these prototypes will receive. I am a big fan of the vintage violin burst some of the old Ibanez guitars had as well as classic vintage Gibson even one of my monster 1990's Yamaha sa2200's this was my insparation. The body is the same as the Gibson es335 in that ours is also 3- piece laminated construction Curley flame maple top -poplar center and Curley flame maple back. We use all american electronics wiring CTS pots & switchkraft switch & output jacks and our high grade standard "Journeyman" model that comes loaded with one of our favorite PAF replica pickups made in Japan by Gotoh these are vintage correct and sound beautiful and we pair that with some real great tone capasitors for true vintage tone, these are some of the very same pickups used in top Japan for makers like Tokai, Greco, Burney, Orville, Fernandes, Yamaha and a few other top es335 makers back in the day, well Im a believer and I think you will be too when you see - feel and hear our es335 style offering... not yet finished as you can see so you have a chance to select a color burst and we can make your dream custom built es335 style guitar a reality...

On the way! : Here we have another RARE find folks!.... This guitar is very well built ( PRE Elite & Elitist )it is a possible "prototype" guitar, She’s a Beauty as well as a fine player its a late 1980's according to its owner who purchased it new in Japan. When I first saw it I thought it looked identical to our also late 1980's Epiphone Emperor guitar, I have had several of the Emperors and think highly of them they sold for over $2k and I was lucky enough to find one last year and have kept my eye out for another one of these great guitars since and I came across this one.....other than this I not seen another one like this guitar in years ...the body shape - depth and woods - bindings and detail are of the L-5, it has a great neck on it too its 1-11/16's at the bone nut, The necks Headstock has a Mother of pearl inlaid logo and Flower Pot motif fancy and is striking with its multi-bound headstock & Custom truss rod cover much like the old Gibby, its fingerboard is nicely grained Rosewood with MOP block style inlay and its frets are in excellent condition too and look nearly new still so it really plays wonderfully, all multi bound same as the Gibby too quite impressive. Its Gold hardware shows its age which is 25 years old and it looks pretty cool to me like this ( better than new )and vintage , tuner gears are good to and appear to be unmarked Gotoh originals with patina . The electronics ALL work excellently with no snap crackle or pops noticed..it seamed quiet and it has nice rich tone the PAF’s sound like the Ibanez I sold and it had the Super 58's to me as a tonal reference. This beauty comes with the Classic L-5 tailpiece of course and it sets off a nice vintage guitar. Note the high end arch top bridge detail with mother of pearl inlay. It plays easily and sound smooth and is in above average all round condition with only minor nicks or fine age scratches here or there and a few fine check hairlines on the necks bindings no deterioration as seen on so many of these vintage guitars other than the pick guard which completely deteriorated and was tossed and replaced with what you see now and that is a proper Jazz box Ebony pick guard which is multi-bound and was custom fit along with the proper high end bracket to this guitar and as you can see looks great now.... Here is a Super rare guitar and will be great for the right player. Check it out seriously I do not think it will last long so get her while you can…
Thanks for looking, Joe
This is a FRESH Vault RELEASE from the JVGuitars Vintage guitar VAULT: Here we have yet another great find folks this is a early 1980s Memphis ES335 Cherry made in Japan Think Crossroads vintage and this example is near mint like time capsule from the Vintage Lawsuit golden era of Japanese High Quality workmanship & materials only now with 30+ years on it she is a Genuine Vintage guitar in its own right!....WoW
This is a wonderfull and RARE Matsumoku factory made example of the great made in Japan quality vintage law-suit guitar literally this guitar was bought new by an adult and then kept put away under the bed for nearly 30 years... imagine all the dust under that old bed..well we cleaned this classic gem up and guess what... it looks new!... its so well preserved that most anyone would think this guitar is just a couple years old but that's not the case here this is an actual Japanes vintage guitar. This guitar very well made its fit & finish are just like our vintage Tokai es335 we have had the grade of maple looks the same too = very nicely grained woods look outstanding & high end , this 335 does have the center full block in the body and is not fully hollow but is a true es335 type in design. The horns shape, the F-holes shape & size, the bindings, the size, the neck feel is medium -slim 1-11/16ths at the nut, the block inlays are all exactly replicating the vintage Gibson it copied... This guitar not only is built great and looks beautiful it also is very faithful to the 60's sound as well these old Japanese Paf's humbucking pickups really sound great and are correct vintage resistance...lots of guts when cranked up to be soulful and can also get the sound to sweet and crunchy .. The action is perfect & nice & low and the intonation is set dead on so this guitar is fully ready to TOUR or RECORD tonight... This baby is JVG condition rated at least a 9.95.... excellent used / vintage. AMAZINGLY well preserved and ready to go ANOTHER 30+ years.. get this time capsule before she's gone... any questions ask me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just in folks she is it excellent true vintage condition fit & finish like near mint no chips - scratches or cracks anywhere!... yes some gold tarnish but not significant its Vintage Gorgeous. Its classic Vintage sunburst is just beautiful and strong with no noticeable fade.. Neck is very nice feel its 1-11/16ths at the nut with anice medium profile feel to it and seems fast. Fingerboard & frets - inlays - bindings and its finish are all excellent AAAA tarnish seen on pickup covers, beautiful pickguard on her too... tuners show just minimal tarnish... the action is great and its easy to play making this guitar a joy to play for hours,Those of you Yamaha fans know the quality Yamaha Japan puts into its instruments this Flagship model guitar is Top of the line for Yamaha and the pulled out ALL the Stops and really nailed this guitars feel and vibe a great Jazz guitar to please the discerning. Side note I saw the a great Tony Bennet in concert live and up close & personal a few years back and his Guitarist played the Yamaha that night and was quite impressive.
This is one of the best of the best Japanese crafted L-5 type Jazz guitars to ever come out of Japan. This guitar is in excellent 9.2/10 vintage condition. This is a lot of guitar for this kind of price unbelievable value and compares favorably to the Gibson in play ability and it tone and in the beauty department overall amazing example here folks...many of these have suffered the ravages of time and the tailpieces rust away and to prevent that this tailpiece was"oversprayed" with thin nitrocellulose lacquer just like they would do in the old days to preserve the parts to help prevent rusting out...this one has already been treated...see it...

JUST IN ,,,ITS just been freshly CLEANED & SET UP WITH NEW STRINGS see pics... Here we have a great guitar these are absolutely some of the greatest series of ES type guitars from this GOLDEN ERA of guitars be it Japanese or American these vintage Ibanez guitars from aplayers standpoint are neck & neck with the Gibson that star up for your serious consideration this ted it all and I grew up aspiring to play " the Gibson that is" and got my first 1966 ES335 at 18 paired with my Super Reverb that tone was hard to deny, This example sounds just as classic to my ears for this kind of a price is Amazing. This one has a beautifully Figured maple body with some Birdseye too, a solid Mahogany neck and is finished in Deep vivid translucent Cherry WoW! This very fine example was Crafted in Japan and was made in 1981. This is the Ibanez AS50 which is one of the most popular smaller body sized es335 style designed and built long before Gibson decided to make their 336. This fine dot neck has a great feel to it with a nice mid size profile neck. Nicely grained darker Rosewood fretboard. All natural patina to the beautiful bindings - see the pics.. This guitar is 100% original and is in amazing condition please see the detailed pictures. .
its RARE and very clean she is all original Too Just in new arrival folks and she is a beauty in top vintage condition it is in absolute top form like it was made last year not 40 years ago but its true this beautifully well preserved rare example is over 40 years old.... its neck is true and straight its frets are still excellent 1-11/16ths at the nut neck seems fasts lick & EZ to play....no dead spots or funny buzzing it sounds just as clean as it looks as the electronics are excellent 0 no snap crackle or pop here just great vintage tone it sounds just as good or better then the original Gibson I love the tone and lots of clear bell tone and it can snarl with the best of them too... no disappointments here someone is going to be very pleased with this timeless classic....
Great Jazzer here with tons of bang for the buck factor too THIS is the one …
It sports the very same body as the FG100 played by George Benson ( made with same body molds
used to make the famous FG100 series… classic played by Benson back in the day, you can expect the same kind of performance in this example of the AF120, these are discontinued years ago in favor of
opting to make cheaper guitars out of China now days…. This is a Korean built guitar and was strictly
controlled by the Japanese Luthiers at Ibanez for this particular line back in the day. I remember when these came out I had to double back and take a much closer look as I though these were the Fg100’s
and needless to say I was quite impressed with this value minded copy no discontinued. With its quality
Spruce top and maple sides & back with the 1 piece maple neck block inlays 20 frets over rosewood fingerboard , a true Jazz box in its own right and loaded with the famous $uper 58 humbucking pickups
This guitar is formidable and ready to RECORD or TOUR TONIGHT!
JVG Condition rating is very good- excellent vintage ( near vintage at 18 years… 25 is true vintage btw
Easily 8.8/10 beautiful fit & finish, neck is straight – action is low and frets are very good.
Sunburst is excellent with Color that is deep and vibrant – gloss is excellent.
This will make someone very pleased if interestd to purchase contact Joe at: firstname.lastname@example.org

1976 Ventura V1500 SB Japanese well made Lawsuit era Replica of the 1960s Gibson Barney Kessel in very good -excellent JVG rated = vintage condition SWEET! … $1179.00
Let me start out with this is a quality built guitar made in the Matsumoku factory in Japan nearly 40 years ago…. This example has a very nice grain figured looking Maple woods for the body front back & sides as well as the 3 piece figured Maple neck like the originals, well executed Multi bound 17” body front & back bound F-holes, Deep dark grained Rosewood also of a very good quality neck is straight tuners are the originals and still good, Neck has just the correct relief and it has good fretwork- its play action is low and it as a result is a pleasure to play. Neck is Medium-slim profile and very comfortable to play. 1-11/16ths at the nut, Full scale same as Gibson.
This example has a striking resemblance to the original design by Gibson in the 1960s for the Jazz great Barney Kessel. Ventura is one of the Top builders of this era, they also made sanctioned replicas when Gibson hired them for a short to build them for Gibson since they were already doing so anyway it made for a fast & easy transition from outlaw builder to approved for export … this is Pre lawsuit possible prototype guitar. Its Vintage Paf Maxon pickups are the originals and still are impressive sounding loud and clear good breakup and tone is nice like the Gibby they copied these were the top pickups out of Japan back in the day, and these Maxon Paf’s look right too with that Patina of a near 40 year old guitar too the covers have just the right look and the sound is sure to please. This finish is the classic aged cherry burst and is quite vivid and sharp looking with plenty of Glass like shine to it, Its looks really good from 5’ away and up close you will notice the Patina which also looks very cool, its top logo had a bit of the MOP fall off as many often do this one has been touched up to help it look better and also to preserve the remaining and the finish integrity to last for many more years and it looks pretty good to, This guitar has had a few dings & doinks or tiny chips none really that bad mostly very minor superficial
Cosmetics, but again I addressed them and touched them up with matching color and buffed & polished back to protect and preserve and looks great now.. So I would rate the overall guitar at an 8.75 /10 very good – excellent vintage used condition and is a very good intermediate to expert pro level player grade. A professional could easily tour with this guitar and will be excellent for recording as well..

It Spruce top has wonderfully aged now to a rich luster just beautiful and is crack free. No cracks noted anywhere no finish checking it is not new or mint condition of course it has been played however it still shines like glass to this day with only some c The Bridge is Rosewood and has a beautiful mother of pearl inlay motif along with its genuine Byrdland Tailpiece detail befitting a guitar with such class. It has checking or hairline crack lines on its bindings here and there not to bad and is typical of this era with patina 100% intact NONE is loose or falling off and has been like this for years and not gotten any worse again typical for this era as I have seen so many Bensons and other Ibanez vintage, Gretche's, Gibson's and others of this age this one is fine and doing well. The Pickups are very cool and sound absolutely amazing and electronics all functioning at a high level this guitar is ready to record or tour tonight!... This guitar is JVG condition rated at 8.75/10 easily vintage very good - excellent condition and comes with its original hard shell case as well to keep her sweet for another 38 years. Almost identical to the Ibanez Byrdland only this one is a higher end build and classier appointed, and this is a True Lawsuit design same as the Gibby only better!...for 1/2 the price ... Greco & Ibanez are sister companies if you will and in this instance Greco to Ibanez is like Lexus to Toyota... early Fujigen Gakki Super REAL BYRDLAND that is way pre Elite or Elitist..not even close this is the one!.
